This is how it all began for my entrepreneurship journey with Leah Hall.co…Being an entrepreneur is not always planned. There are events in life that expedite your transition. This is my story and the reason why I will never look back. These are successful tips for women entrepreneurs starting their journey.
…And the Story Begins
Three years ago I transitioned from a full-time workaholic into a full-time entrepreneur and I have not looked back. One key thing for developing your business is to make sure you document your successful tips for starting your journey.
Your journey can be similar and if it is – know that you can be successful by planning out your goals.
My story begins one fall day as I was driving into work. I remember driving into work with an extreme weight on my shoulders and chest. Having the same work routine every day feels comfortable –but the stress is unnecessary.
However, this particular day – something was different.
Maybe – you have something in your life that is holding you back from moving forward. That one THING in your life that you feel obligated to or you feel I have to do this because of _________ will change today? I am sure you can fill in this space with the many reasons that are holding you back. You are not alone because many of those thoughts will change the way you see your future.
Life-Changing Journey
So, on this particular day, I drove into work knowing that it was the wrong thing to do.
I parked my car and went to the executive floor for an important meeting. The meeting started and I passed out!
Just that fast – my entire life changed.
I was transported from work to the nearest hospital in an ambulance and three (3) days in a hospital bed gave me the outlook I needed to change my life. Being healthy, being present, and being strong was my motivation. The days of long workdays, nights and weekends at a 9-5 away from my partner and children disappeared.
The wake-up call that I needed to change my life gave me purpose and perspective.
How I Transitioned
A transition can often bring a flood of emotions and thoughts – but it is important to evaluate each. I have the educational background and the corporate experience to pursue numerous niches – but helping women is my mission.
I started to research the different ways that I could expand upon my current side project of helping women find jobs by perfecting their resumes, developing business plans, and community partnerships. There was also a great desire to find a program to homeschool my children so that I could make sure they were receiving a quality education. Now we are at the crossroad – which niche feels most authentic?
Successful Tips For Women Entrepreneurs
Maybe you have been in this same place – with the same questions and fears. Know that deciding to make a difference in your life is one of the most powerful decisions that you can make.
As I was deciding on my next steps – these are the steps that I followed:
01. I mentally dumped all of my passions, interests, and ideas onto paper so I could see potential niche business ventures. If you’d like to complete this step with a guided blueprint – click HERE.
02. Next – I researched business names and social media platforms to see if my business name was available. It is key that each platform has your business name so you can be easily found.
03. I decided to take the low-tech route to begin my journey and I did not want to invest time and money into technology resources until I was sure of my path. So – I invested time into building my social media profile bios to begin developing a rapport with my audience. Grab my guide to increase your Instagram engagement by updating your profile bio HERE.
04. Lastly – I wrote out my goals for building my business. Then – I developed my resources to begin building an email list.
These are the starting successful tips for women entrepreneurs that I’d suggest for you to begin changing your life.
